Commodore Gabe Sanders Reports:
Hello all SHYC neighbors. Our proposed budget for 2010 will be discussed at the next meeting. We are experiencing some rising costs & I would recommend those that are interested in the process to come and see the way it works. The proposed budget will be voted on during the annual meeting in Feb. (provided we have a quorum)
One of the major factors of keeping our costs down as well as being such a wonderful community has been the active participation of our residents in the operation of our association. Consequently, nominations for volunteers for our Board of Governors and committee members are coming up. If you would like to serve on the board and/or volunteer for a committee, please let me know and you will be placed on the ballot for the upcoming vote.
URGENT INFORMATION- 911 SHYNESS!!!
The Board of Governors wants all to remember that our local police are for your protection. It is important that if you see something that is not right or you simply feel strange about it you should call 911. Most people call a friend or a neighbor before calling the police, but this could waste valuable time and possibly put them into a dangerous situation. If you feel funny about reporting something to 911 you can call the non-emergency police #220-7170. Police car presence is always a good thing, and one of the best deterrents to a criminal. So call the police first and then alert your neighbors, but never go out to confront anyone.Snug Harbor Neighborhood:
***Hurricane season is almost over! Knock on wood we do not encounter a late one. If we do remember that an all hands on deck at the clubhouse would be greatly appreciated.***If interested in attending the Thursday 4pm Pilate's classes please contact Kit Cassidy ***Reene Saum asks to remember that anything seems out of place in the Clubhouse folks should call her right away.
*** For reservations at the clubhouse please call Reene Saum.
*** Note: Private parties over ten people are charged a small fee. Since most big paying parties are on a weekend the board asks that if you have a small free party could it be booked on a weekday.
***Reminder: Only yard debris cut by the owner can be placed on the street in front of his house. Cuttings by hired landscape crews are supposed to be hauled away by them. The county does not pick up their debris.
***Think Green:Roger Bernot would like to thank you for the feed back he received on the beautification project. The plan is to plant trees along St Lucie Blvd. from Harbor Pt Dr., west to Jeff Bowers's house. Please call Roger for more info or to volunteer to help set it up.
